I really seem to have a problem with modern technology. Everytime I buy any kind of new gadget or device I always encounter problems; it would seem as though I just don’t get on well with modern technology. For my family however, trying to get me to look at new things and try them out seems to be what they live for as in their opinion I am just too old fashioned. But although I would truly love to be able to benefit from all this modern technology, every time I try it just turns into a nightmare. I am now convinced that I have technophobia because I have a genuine fear of going near anything like digital cameras, laptops, computers, cd players etc.
My wife is the same age as me and she seems to have no problems using all these new contraptions. She thinks that if you embrace technology, you will stay young; that’s why she can easily spend hours sitting at the computer and makes fun of me for not being able to do the same. And even though I completely agree with her, it is almost impossible to get that computer to follow my instructions each time I try. She adapted to computers like a fish to water, but for me it is like trying to pilot a spaceship without any instructions. And I was even more scared to go near the computer when I was told that you can end up getting viruses or having your identity stolen.
I know that I am losing out because I am not using all this technology and I am going to do my best to try to overcome that fear of technology. And fortunately there are a lot of resources out there which can help me and all the people like me who are afraid of modern technology. I have also found that are plenty of computer whizz kids who are willing to give advice and talk me through my biggest fear.
With technology marching at an unstoppable rate, most homes today have computers installed but quite often they find they need computer support. When it comes to pc security, virus removal software and virus removal tool can usually be found toward the top of the list.
