And if you check the small print on your contract or terms of service you will see that there actually is a limit to the amount of storage space that you will be provided with. Do not think that you will have an unlimited amount of space even though, what you do have should really be sufficient for the requirements of your website.
Domain Names For Free.
You get nothing in this world for free so if you are promised a free domain name it usually means that if you wish to continue using that particular domain name, you will have to stick with the company who provided it. And if you decide to switch to another web hosting company, it won’t be long before you realise that to take this domain name with you will not be ‘free’. It will probably be really expensive to buy this domain name from the web hosting company and you will either have to pay this amount or just remain with the web hosting company – that doesn’t sound free to me.
The Promise of Free Web Hosting.
What this usually means is selling the soul of your website to advertisers. You are never going to be getting web hosting completely free. You will usually have to allow the host to place a lot of advertisements on your website in exchange for not having to pay a charge. And the fact that you do not get any say in the advertisements means that you could end up with adverts for porn on your website which could be very embarrassing especially if your site is purely a place for you to store your family photos.
When you decide to go into internet marketing, you should make sure that you have hosting set up beforehand. The web hosting world can be a confusing one though for a newbie. For example, you may come across free web hosting or even dedicated servers while searching different options.
