Can You Get Rich Doing Surveys For Money?
Some say that taking surveys for money is a smart move, a good way to make money. Many sites offer ways to do this, for a fee. Others say that this is a ripoff. A search on surveys for money yields both answers. Who is right and who is wrong? Well, you’re about to get my opinion on this.
I am sure that there are valid opportunities to earn money by doing surveys. I’m also pretty sure that for most of them the equivalent hourly earnings are quite low. One person spent considerable time experimenting with paid surveys. At the end she found that she had earned about 37 cents per hour.
How about the paid subscription sites. For a fee they promise to direct you to surveys that pay. They say this can be lucrative. I have not carefully researched these claims but I am very skeptical about them.
Taking surveys can be a good thing, not supremely enjoyable for most, but sometimes worthwhile. I take them sometimes, usually not for money. I like providing information if I think it is for a good cause. Sometimes they enter me in contests for this, though I don’t recall ever winning anything.
On the other hand, I do have negative feelings about the sites where you pay for access to surveys. I’m not prepared to say that they are all frauds, but I suspect that most of them are. One can certainly earn money working online. Unfortunately, those who don’t have special skills to sell probably won’t get paid very much. Getting low pay is better than spending money on a fraud, in my opinion.
In conclusion, I think it is safe to say that taking surveys for money is not a good way to get rich. It may generate some income, but nothing to get excited about. As to the subscription sites, I think they are best left alone. If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.
